Adafruit BMP085 Barometric Pressure/Temperature/Altitude Sensor

$19.95
Sold Out - Back in Stock by May 10th

Product Type: Sensors

This precision sensor from Bosch is the best low-cost sensing solution for measuring barometric pressure and temperature. Because pressure changes with altitude you can also use it as an altimeter! The sensor is soldered onto a PCB with a 3.3V regulator, I2C level shifter and pull-up resistors on the I2C pins.

Just a reminder to anyone using this sensor when calculating the altitude, to calibrate the sensor with the current sea-level pressure for your location. You can easily find this value out from your favourite weather website. Just make sure the value is converted to pascals, and set the SeaLevelPressurePascals constant in the BoschBmp085 class. If you don't calibrate this value, you'll find your altitude readout can be off by a large margin.

    Cheers and happy hacking!
